Carevya – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Carevya ("the App") is a personal medication reminder and health tracking application. We take your privacy seriously. All data you enter stays on your device. We do not operate any servers, do not collect personal information, and do not share your data with third parties.

2. Data We Collect

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using on-device app storage:

• Medication names, dosages, and schedules
• Dose history and adherence records
• Vital measurements (blood pressure, weight, etc.)
• Symptom logs
• Appointment details
• Emergency contact names and phone numbers
• User profiles (name, relationship)

None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party.

3. Permissions We Request

• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM – Required to deliver medication reminders at the exact times you set.
• VIBRATE – To vibrate the device when a reminder fires.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – To reschedule reminders after your device restarts.
• Biometric / Device credentials – Used only for the app lock screen. Biometric data never leaves the device.

4. How We Use Data

Carevya uses the data you enter only to provide app features such as medication schedules, dose reminders, refill tracking, health logs, appointment reminders, profile management, and health report export. We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or sale.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with any third party. The only data transmission occurs when you choose to use the "Export Health Report" feature, which uses your device's native share sheet — you control exactly where that data goes.

6. Security

Your data is stored locally on your device. Carevya does not operate a backend server and does not upload your medication or health data to us. Access to the app can be protected using your device authentication options, such as biometrics or device PIN, when available.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored on your device. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the App or using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings. We have no copy of your data and cannot recover it after deletion.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify users through an in-app notice on the next app update.
